Nominations for the Global Sustainability Standards Board

​​Applicants are invited to apply for membership on the Global Sustainability Standards Board (GSSB) through self-nomination or nomination by a third party.
The ideal qualifications and experience of a GSSB member include, but are not limited to:

  • Recognized expertise in sustainability reporting or a related field
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-stakeholder environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Judicious decision-making
  • Integrity, objectivity and discipline
  • Commitment to GRI's mission, vision, and the public interest
  • Ability to act in an independent, objective and inclusive manner

Please refer to this document regarding the GRI constituencies before completing the nomination form.
A nomination submission must include the following

  • This Nomination form
  • Cover letter
  • The latest version of the nominee's CV
  • The Employer Statement, if the nominee is employed (not self-employed)*
*Please upload this signed statement from the applicant’s employer/organization confirming that they support the applicant’s nomination to the GSSB and acknowledge that, if appointed, as a GSSB, the applicant will contribute their own professional knowledge and expertise, and will not represent the the views or positions of their employer/ organization in matters related to GRI

Completed applications consisting of all the documents listed above must be submitted to GRI no later than Sunday 26 July 2026 23:59 CET.
